Harnessing Grace, Grit, and Global Recognition
In a world that often demands you choose between passion and practicality, Cindy Murray decided to pursue both. A horse lover since childhood, a certified financial expert, and an award-winning insurance agent, Cindy’s multifaceted journey proves that success doesn’t come from picking one path it comes from creating your own.
A Lifelong Learner Who Gallops Ahead
Cindy’s academic foundation laid the stepping stones for her diverse career. Armed with an undergraduate degree in Agribusiness and a Master’s in Business Administration from Morehead State University, she complemented her expertise with a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification. This powerful combination has opened doors across industries from government promotions to conference stages across the U.S. and abroad.
“I will never regret any of my education,” she says. “It’s something no one can ever take away from me.”
Building Her Own Lane: Two Businesses, One Heart
Cindy is not only the proud owner of Triple M Stables in Frankfort, Kentucky where she breeds, raises, and sells world-class American Saddlebred horses but also a licensed independent insurance agent. The horse business was born from both passion and practicality. “I realized I was paying more to board one horse than it would cost to bring him home and start a business,” she shares.
Her second act emerged after retiring from 33 years in state government. With energy and ambition still pulsing, she posted her resume online and found her next calling insurance. Seven years later, she now specializes in life, Medicare, and home policies, all from the comfort of her home.
Navigating Challenges With Unshakable Faith
Behind Cindy’s diverse portfolio lies a road marked by resilience. In the horse business, she and her family faced not only financial strain but physical danger, each of them enduring life-threatening injuries that landed them in trauma centers. The lessons were hard-earned, and today, they take no risks: no training of external horses, and zero tolerance for dangerous behavior.
In insurance, the hurdle was different: delayed revenue and steep competition. “It’s estimated 95% of agents quit in their first year,” Cindy explains. “You need another income to survive the learning curve.” Her persistence, paired with a firm refusal to give up, carried her through.
“Without hard work, you don’t fully appreciate success. And without a little luck, where’s the thrill?” she reflects.
Fueled by Compassion, Not Just Commission
While horses may have been her first love, Cindy’s passion for helping people has kept her insurance career thriving. One story that stands out involved a Medicare client in New York City undergoing a cardiac procedure. With no family nearby, he called Cindy 33 times, leaning on her for support, comfort, and clarity. “I gave him emotional strength when he had no one else,” she says.
“Sometimes, it’s not about policy it’s about presence.”
That human-first approach defines her ethos: every client is a person, not a number.
Living Like a Tiger
Cindy rejects the rat race entirely. “It’s boring and pointless,” she says. Instead, she embraces the tiger’s way fearless, focused, and driven by internal purpose. Whether it was taking on unpopular roles, striving for excellence when no one else would, or working tirelessly to stand out, Cindy’s life has been about setting herself apart.
“My father worked for one of the largest electric companies in the U.S. I always looked up to him,” she recalls. “He was in one Who’s Who book. I’ve been featured in six or seven I’ve lost count.”
Anchored by Family, Driven by Legacy
Cindy’s deepest inspiration comes from her family. Her husband John, their daughter currently in veterinary school, her son and daughter-in-law, and a young grandson all fuel her desire to keep going. “We want our daughter to start her veterinary career without the weight of debt. That’s our mission as parents.”
She’s also a caretaker to a family of 13 rescue animals, each one a reminder of her heart for service and commitment.
Accolades That Reflect Impact
Cindy’s achievements span both her careers: – Named one of the Top 100 Financial Experts in the U.S. (GCIF, 2021) – Money 2.0 Visionaries Award (Las Vegas, 2023) – Multiple entries in Marquis Who’s Who and Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide – Kentucky Department of Insurance: Licensed Agent since 2018 – Honored by the Governor as a member of the “Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels”
Defining Leadership Beyond Titles
To Cindy, leadership is not about management, it’s about meaning. She lives by 11 principles (inspired by a 2025 LinkedIn post by Justin Wright), such as: giving credit in public, defending others in their absence, staying kind under pressure, and showing up when it matters most.
“A true leader supports their team and helps them grow regardless of titles,” she adds. Her philosophy: lead with empathy, and impact will follow.
A Life Lived Out Loud
Cindy Murray’s life is a testament to resilience, reinvention, and wholehearted leadership. She’s not defined by any one title but by the impact she leaves, the people she uplifts, and the passions she continues to chase.
Her message to readers is simple: “Don’t give up too soon. You might just be one brave choice away from the life you’re meant to live.”
